It has been two years since Palpatine's Rise to the Imperial Throne and the great Jedi Purge. The first years of the Empire though have been hard on the Galaxy. Shortly after Palpatine's rise to power the damage to his body from his assassination attempt became clear. Due to electrical trauma to his heart and mind Palpatine's body shut down and he died shortly there after. He'd only been an Emperor for for a few weeks, however both he and his apprentice Lord Vader were dead. Lord Vader was given a place of Honor in the Empire as being the man who was responsible for the Purge of the Jedi. However even with all of his strength and power he couldn't defeat Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and after a great duel on Mustifar Lord Vader died of his wounds on the side of a hill. Emperor Palpatine had the 501st search out any trace of this traitor who'd not only killed Lord Vader, but his wife Padame. When the 501st found Obi-Wan he was on a Medical Transport with Grand Jedi Master Yoda and Senator Oregana of Alderaan. The entire transport was considered a traitor to our New Found Empire and it was attacked and blown up on the spot effectively ending all known ties to The Old Republic. Then the Emperor died and the Imperial Senate had to decide who the new Emperor would be. However first they passed ruling to establish and Imperial Inquisition who's job was to root out the Jedi Heretics and Traitors and crush them before they became a threat to the Galaxy. Due to the danger involved it was elected that the Inquisition was to be the only group of Force Sensitive people in the Galaxy and they would be loyal servants to the Empire. The Inquisition moved quickly though spreading through systems finding Jedi who let their guards down and used their power or got together with other Jedi to try and form a resistance. Most of them were executed, some enslaved on Dathomir work camps and others were just dragged away deep into the Prisons and never heard from again. Still they are there, just in hiding, waiting and working for a way to destroy the fragile Empire we now have. It didn't stop people who believed in Democracy though, they kept finding arms, kept finding ways to resist, forming sects and groups dedicated to the destruction of hope. It didn't matter though the Inquisition was very skilled and they made work of the new Imperial Storm Troopers. These are turbulent times for the Empire, as we wait for our new Emperor to guide us to Glory we must constantly watch for traitors and Heretics, then keep them from destroying our new Empire. Sam or Ryu. Position Requested: Global Moderator or Moderator -- seriously, I'm not going to make a big deal about it. Experience: Durmstrang -- though technically there's no proof on there (I recently started renovating . . . go figure), it was actually active for about a month. Hadley -- my most recent project: it was active for quite some time as well, but then members stopped coming . . . x.x; My staff and I ran it pretty well, methinks, and I usually don't compliment myself. Hogwarts for Eternity -- no, I'm not the main admin, but I am admin, and while I don't do the most on there, I do still do stuff. Calm Before the Storm -- I did quite a bit of work on this one, even when all the other admins bailed on me. >:| There have been several more, none of which are current (or pretty, for that matter), so I don't think they really matter in this situation. Reason: Well, I will start off by saying, "Ahahahah, me being a staff member here? I was barely active!" Yeah. If I did, for some miraculous reason, become a staff member, I would try to be more active (at least with my staffing duties). I've been trying to renew my love for Avatar, which hasn't been so good since the series finale, and have tried a few sites of my own, none of which were ever actually published. The sites I gave you above are sites that I think I did pretty well with, and like I said, I don't compliment myself that much -- I'm very criticizing of myself, so if I say I like it, it isn't just because I made it. xD But I do still love Avatar, and helping run forums like this motivates me to be a little more creative and active on the Internet in general. I would hate for you to choose me and for me to end up unreliable, but I would in fact try my best to keep things rolling along and to make sure members are welcomed, and whatnot. I used to love this site (even though, yes, I barely RPed), and it's always pretty stressful for the staff and heartbreaking to everyone when a successful, entertaining site dies. I'd love to help.
